Our Story
The HTP Consultancy was founded by Harshini Carey a strategic cyber security leader with over 25 years of hands on experience across technology and risk landscape. After building a trusted reputation for solving complex problems and translating security into clear business outcomes, she established her own consultancy to support boards and fast growing organisations with a modern, pragmatic approach.

We work with tech startups, FTSE listed companies, and government entities alike. For startups scaling at speed, we help secure platforms without slowing growth embedding security early, just as Facebook and Google did from day one.

Backed by deep industry expertise and an extensive network across Cyber Security, Geopolitical, Intelligence, Compliance, and Risk, Harshini held senior roles across Europe and the Americas, including at the London Stock Exchange and Denmark’s largest IT supplier, KMD Neupart.

Harshini was a war child, lost beloved father at age 13. Setup her first business,(home jewellery business to support her education) raised by strong women.
She is driven to deliver measurable impact by safeguarding organisations while working effectively around clients’ operating realities reducing risk without adding complexity.
Shaped by a background rooted in military service, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, she brings a deeply embedded “protect what matters” mindset to her work. Discipline, sound judgement, empathy, and a strong work ethic underpin every engagement, alongside a clear belief that effective governance and security should enable progress, not impede it.
This ethos defines her approach at board level: proportionate risk management, practical decision making, and outcomes that strengthen resilience while making leadership’s job easier.
Immigrated to UK alone as a young adult and her resilience and determination is demonstrated when faced with challengers. She has spent her working life within the technology, cyber security and compliance arenas. Specialising in the EMEA, Americas and APAC territories and passionate about creating an inclusive culture. A mother, wife and daughter she likes to create a work life balance.
